The first one makes me chuckle. Ohhh. Disney.
So during halftime of the PSU v. Illinois whitehouse game on Saturday, I and about 100 other students from commonwealth campuses got to go out onto the field at halftime. Well, that was what was supposed to happen. The coaches wouldnt allow us to step on the field because of the weather. That's why we were told we would get tasered if we did. haha. BUT. we still got to walk through the tunnel that all the players and the blue band and cool people walk out of into the stadium in front of almost 110,000 people and we stayed on the sidelines for a bit while the announcer guy talked.
I got to wear this official pass that made me feel all special. =] But I had to give it back. *sad face* We were also told that if we didnt get off the field quickly we would cause a delay of game and then we would have been in big big trouble with ABC. Hence the first quote.
So yeah we didnt get to go on the field like we were told but it was still pretty cool to be on that, you know, level, and look up at all the fans and the students cheering and being loud.
It was my first (out of hopefully many to come in the future) whitehouse game, and it couldnt have been a better game. Well, it could have not rained...but like no one even cared cuz everyone was having so much fun. lol and my favorite part had to be when the whole stadium did a few slow motion waves and then a few extra fast waves. It looked awesome!
Oh yeah and then winning. That was cool too. =D
